Naming Apple’s Tablet
There are not many days before we all know if it even exists, but the proximity of actual information has not deterred continuing speculation. I will leave others to continue to guess on the tech specs, and focus on the most important thing. The name.
For me there are three three candidates I like…
- iPad: Come on, it just fits. My favorite, probably. Reflects the fact that it’s running the iPhone OS (ooops, guessed a technical detail)
- TouchBook: There’s something about this that communicates “more than an iPod”.
- TouchMac: If, and I mean if, it runs full Mac OS this speaks to what the tablet will be. It won’t run full Mac OS however.
